Ploesti Raid – Attack By Red Force.
Animated maps, photographs and audio are used to brief the U.S. air crews of the “Red Force” as to landmarks and Initial Point (IP) to be used to guide the bombers to the Red Target. The Red Target was the refinery at Campina; the “Red Force” was Col. Jack Wood’s 389th Bombardment Group, 9th Air Force “Sky Scorpions”.
