PRESIDENT SIGNS SAINT LAWRENCE SEAWAY BILL
WASHINGTON, D.C. – As President Eisenhower affixes his signature to the Saint Lawrence Seaway bill, the engineering dream – advocated by every President since Harding, takes a major step towards realization. To be built in cooperation with Canada, the Seaway will make deepwater ports out of such cities as Buffalo, Toronto, and eventually Chicago and Duluth.
