Cotton Bowl
Dallas-Texas faces Tennessee, as seventy-five thousand look on, and the Longhorns administer a whacking defeat. The Tennessee Vols go down 16-0.

Sugar Bowl
New Orleans – First blood goes to Ole Miss, but Georgia Tech takes over, to salt away a sweet triumph in the Sugar Bowl, 27-7.

Orange Bowl
Miami-A sell-out throng sees one of the most sensational scoring shows in bowl history as Alabama runs rampant against Syracuse. The New York Orangemen score once before the roof falls in. Final score – Alabama 61-Syracuse 6.
