Unedited footage clips of mining coal in 1923 at a Ford coal mine. Freight train locomotive pulling rail cars loaded with coal; rail cars arrive at industrial steel mill. Shows molten steel in steel mill. Factory workers changing shifts at large industrial plant. Hundreds of people exiting a large manufacturing facility. Coal miners with “lunch buckets” take small rail car to mine entrance. Shows mining machine cutting a “kerf” into the face of wall of coal.
